Two Talks:
RAGNARÖK: CREATION AND DESTRUCTION WITHIN NORSE MYTHOLOGY
Based on research of the Old Norse Poetic and Prose Eddas from Iceland, Anglo-Saxon texts, and other sources, the analysis looks at the significant meanings of the names of deities and the tensions between Aesir, Vanir, Giants, Elves, and others. The role of prophecies and incidental stories is considered, as well as when they were supposed to happen. Pete will also give psychological insight into the mythology and examines external influences and attitudes to it.
A LIFE IN MAGIC: some personal recollections.
Pete dishes the dirt on himself including the highs and lows of a veteran name on the Pagan scene. Why did he follow the path he has? How does he do magic? Are the tales of the Beserker Death Squads true? If you know the answers please let him know as he is getting a bit old and forgetful. The skulls of hecklers will be used as drinking cups.
Books will be on the COA stall.
